Nice Day - Why Am I Indoors?

October 15, 1996

The sun is out, there's not a cloud in the sky and I'm sitting here in my home-office with the window open to the cool autumn air and watching the leaves fall off the tree across the parking lot. Masons are fixing the cracks in my back porch. I didn't know the condo association planned on doing anything about the cracks until winter ice separated all the porches from the buildings so it's an unexpected treat.

I should be out photographing autumn leaves or at least figuring out how to get the photos I scanned into this new Mac over to UNIX in a form that can be read. I transferred ab bunch of jpegs on Friday using the defaults in Fetch and the images weren't loadable. I have no idea what I did wrong.

Wilbur just used the keyboard as a launching pad to reach the open window where he is now sniffing attentively. His orange fur in the sunlight matches the orange leaves swirling outside.

I have all these profound thoughts I want to write in this journal but they just keep circling in my head without making it out the fingers. Maybe later.
