I think I was two years old when this picture was taken. That would make it 1953. I'm standing on the Cambridge side of the Charles River. The Boston skyline in the background seems quaint compared to what it looks like now. Why don't I look happy?

This picture was taken in 1962. I don't know who took it since Dad is in the picture and I don't think he had a self timer then. The likeliest photographers are his brother Charlie or his cousin Jimmy. Dad sponsored Jimmy to immigrate here from Ireland but he moved back there and lives outside Dublin. Uncle Charlie died in 1983. Dad died in 1989. Everybody else in the picture is still alive.

Kevin called me at 10:00 this morning to tell me E had another birthday party to go to tonight and needed a present. the order was for 1 beanie baby skunk, 1 beanie baby pig, and 1 beanie baby sleeping bag. I did it. This is getting to be the regular routine. I picked the kids up at school at 2:55 and successfully got E to piano on time without incident. Andrea and I counted her collection of pebbles, laying them out one by one in rows on Mrs. Reed's coffee table. There are 196 of them.

Andrea demonstrated Hyper3dPinball. She wanted to know what games I have on my computer. I told her Quicken is a fun numbers game for grown ups. . I have a sore throat and can barely talk. And all I want to do is sleep.
