Great Blue Heron

November 2, 1996

I took the film from the North Conway trip to CVS one hour photo first thing this morning because I wanted to see if I actually got the great blue heron. Boy, did I. I am thrilled. Click on it to see it full size. I believe I got it in flight while not spilling my coffee. That's Claire's car in the background.

One of the projects I've been thinking about doing is a photographic daybook/journal. No words, just pictures, one for every day. (Not necessarily on-line - I don't get that much disk space for my monthly fee!). Maybe it's doable and I should start today.

I'm off to Nancy's for the weekend. The forecast up here is for snow showers tonight but I don't know if that extends to Rhode Island. I know I can check via internet before I go, so I probably will.

And the guy from URI school of oceanography got back to me really promptly about the plans (lack thereof) for the coastal database project. He suggested calling back in a couple of months. That'll give me time to rewrite my resume for web grunt to put oceangraphic data on-line instead of vice president of quality. Not that I'm desparate for a job. Far from it. But any possibility of using at least some of my skills to do oceanography instead of computers and telecomms can't be ignored.
