After the Texaco man who wears the star put the tires on my car, I grabbed a bagel with egg and cheese at Dunkin Donuts. Would've grabbed coffee too but they (at least in North Andover) don't have dark roast anymore. So off to find a parking space near my therapist's office. Parked the car at a meter. Remembered to put a quarter in this time. Grabbed a very large coffee at Bulter's Pantry. Drank it in my therapist's office.
Zipped from her office over to the polling place, do not pass go, do not collect $200, don't stop at home no matter how badly you have to go... The line at the polling place moved very quickly. I didn't have to wait long for a booth at all. There were no volunteers holding Kerry signs outside the polling place and there were oodles of Weld signs so I felt a slight twinge like I shoulda volunteered for visibility after all. Not that I could've stood out there longer than a few minutes without coughing all over the electorate. "Hey, I'll cough on you and give you the flu unless you vote for Kerry!"
Back home, the stereo next door is blasting James Taylor's greatest hits. Well, blasting isn't exactly the right word for Sweet Baby James but this was really really loud. The woman next door wasn't home. Does the pit bull listen to James Taylor? I'd've thought pit bulls would like something with a little harder edge - I dunno like maybe Jimi Hendrix? I put on June Tabor and the Oyster Band's Freedom and Rain at full volume. Not that I don't like James Taylor . I'm just creeped out by either the pit bull or a ghost in there listening next door.
Heard on the BBC news that the long-awaited jokullhlaup at Vatnajokull finally happened so browsed every web site having to do with the eruption/jokullhlaup for news. That took up the better part of the morning/early afternoon.
Spent the rest of the afternoon fixing up all the links in my journal from July onward so everything connects forward and backward now. Also fixed a few typos. Then the network went somewhere it shouldn't have. So I shutdown the beast and went out to get some dinner and MacSoft's PhotoMaker. I then designed a silly signature logo for myself that looks like a 5 year old did it. Except 5 year olds haven't learned cursive yet.
