Gingko Trees

November 8, 1996

The leaves on the gingko tree on Main Street are pale yellow. I picked one. Tom picked one. He told me the gingko tree is a living fossil. Also gingko nuts are a delicacy to eat once you get through the tough outer husk. Tom became familiar with gingko trees when he lived in Japan. The name means something like "silver fan".
