So, I got to wondering: whatever happened to Rick and Louis after Casablanca?
Why has nobody made a sequel? Rick with the Free French or Brazzaville or A Beautiful Friendship?
Heck, there's a sequel to Endless Summer! Why not Casablanca?
So here I sit getting frustrated. I've tried to call my doctor 5 times to get new prescriptions for all my meds so I'll have 'em for my trip to Anza Borrego Desert next week. I either get busy tone or ringback that gets answered with a "we're sorry, all circuits are busy now. please try your call again later." My ISP is served by the same CO so I'm SOL. This is advanced technology? Not only can't I reach my ISP, but I can't reach my doctor?
I'm busying myself with other tasks like making a vet appointment for Wilbur (tomorrow afternoon), weeding my desk, changing my plane reservations to fly back from Palm Springs, searching for my tickets to the Flower Show (more about which after I find the tickets and actually go to it).
I spent about 2 hours this morning reading Volcano Weather, about the infamous "year without a summer" in 1816 - caused by the Tambora eruption.
Was there supposed to be 6 inches of snow this morning? I must've slept through the weather forecast. I woke up to a blanket of white outside and Maine Public Radio on my clock/radio alarm telling me there was going to be a storm surge.
Umm, I thought winter was over about a month ago...
