if it's wednesday, these must be cats

cats

Stumpy (!!!!!), Jimmy (the one with thumbs), Xena Warrior Kitten, Tiva, Smokey, Fufi... all gone to new homes. Wow. What a week! Simba goes home today too.

Ices and Lucy moved from the sick room out into the main room this morning. I quickly set up 2 cages so they could come out as soon after breakfast as possible. Only one cat left in the sick room! There are still a couple in rabies quarantine.

Jaguar was on patrol all morning, pacing, pacing, smelling every nook and cranny of the place. I'm glad he keeps such close tabs on the place. We couldn't run it without Jaguar.

Sammy's eye is all better. It healed really quickly.

oceans

After a hard day of rescuing felines, I like to relax with a 3 hour science class. Nothing beats an oceanography class for taking the mind off felines, beer cravings, ugly clothes, depression, and whatever all else.

Tonight's videos: river herring (that is, alewives and bluebacks), and coral reefs. No ecoterrorism videos tonight.

Tonight's lesson: primary production, marine organisms.

Paper topic: Effects of Antarctic Ozone Hole on Ice fish Larvae

where's Sean?

The big mystery at Starbucks today is "where's Sean?" he was supposed to open with Chris this morning but didn't show. Someone from another Starbucks store called looking for him too. Apparently he scheduled himself to work someone else's shift there. He didn't show. No one's heard from him. The manager is wild but she says she won't necessarily fire him.

Everybody's been looking for me too. Tom was relieved to see me. He was wondering if I'd decided to go to Hale-Bopp. I told him I'm not that depressed. I realized I hadn't seen Tom in a week and a half and the last time I saw him I was fresh from sleeping all day. No wonder he was worried. What me worry?
