I remembered to wear my official bleach shirt this morning so that Giggle Girl would not be disappointed. Besides, that's the shirt I normally wear - that's how it got that way.

This is the first rainy day after a long stretch of unbelievably good weather. It's almost a relief, except that it's very humid and it's making me a little grouchy.

As soon as I walked in the door this morning, Giggle Girl had a giggle fit. I hadn't even said anything yet!

All morning it didn't matter whether I told a joke or just stood there. The kid giggled. After she left with her job coach, Kendra told me the kid is fascinated with me. She asks if I'm going to be there when she comes. She talks about me. She finds me infinitely amusing and entertaining. I don't mind it up to a point, but when she can't fill litter boxes because she's giggling too hard, it does become a little annoying.

Jaguar is in a good mood today. He purred for me. He even head-butted me. Maybe the bad weather makes him mellower.

I played with Jazzpurr and Cubby for a long time, trying to give Jazzpurr a workout since he was practically manic with energy. Cubby joined in the fun without getting into a fight with Jazzpurr for a change.

I think the weather is making me spacy. I feel like the fog has penetrated my brain and slowed me down. I can't remember any other cute cat antics from this morning, though I'm sure there were some.

This afternoon I worked on fundraising or, as I've taken to calling it, dialing for dollars. Umm that would be for IDRI not for MRFRS. I was a little too tired and spaced out to make much progress on writing proposals, so I finally settled down with the next Mrs. Murphy mystery in the series: Rest in Pieces. I guess my brain's not that foggy because I guessed whodunit and why within the first 25 pages.

Hey, how about those FIRST PLACE Boston Red Sox!?!
