Bittersweet may have gotten the better of me. I spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon hacking away at it and trying to unwind it from around the raspberry bushes. My arms are all scratched up, my allergies are in full bloom, and all my Repetitive Strain Injury symptoms have returned to my right hand. And I don't think I managed to save a whole lot of the raspberry bushes. Nancy asked me when the the bittersweet had gotten out of control and it suddenly hit me that it was when my hand was at its worst with RSI. I stopped pruning and weeding and all those painful things. The bittersweet got a good foothold then and has been unmanageable since. I tried to rake a little bit of the debris this afternoon, but even that hurt my hand/elbow/shoulder/neck. Darn. Writing project summaries for dialing for dollars purposes hurt too. As did/does writing journal entries. My self-esteem is being undermined by a plant! |
