Third time's the charm, right? I made my third visit to the bank this morning. The same teller waited on me. I think I'm doomed to repeat this bank visit over and over again until I get it right. However, yesterday afternoon I transferred money from a linked treasury bill account by same day wire just in case. Good thing I did that. So, the bottom line is I got a check, got the car, and still met the kids after school at the appointed time. Small glitch: the runner who went to the RMV was not back with the registration by the time I had to leave for Groton, so I drove the new machine without registration or inspection sticker (which is legal - you have 7 days to get them but I wasn't relishing the idea of trying to explain that to any of Groton's finest). Lizzy peered in the window of the new car and exclaimed: "It's so clean!" Andrea looked at it and said: "It's still not the Auntmobile." |
