Enough of the cough is lingering today that I decided it was foolish to try to drive down to New Bedford for the last few chapters of the Moby Dick Marathon. I think I usually push myself too hard to keep active and productive when I'm sick because I can't stand the boredom of resting enough to get better. As the day progressed, I started to feel way better and actually got some stuff done around the house and in the office. Tons of bill paying. Work on the MRFRS database but not enough because my brain isn't clear enough - not enough because Stacy wants it yesterday. Actually I thought I would have it done yesterday but that wasn't accounting for this stupid cold.

I picked up the prints of the two rolls of film I shot with the Pentax since it came back from the shop. Everything looks good. I was afraid I'd forgotten how to use it since it was in the shop so long and I've been using the digital camera so much. I was relieved to see that not only does the camera work OK but I still seem to be able to take decent pictures.

It has been unseasonably warm lately and I was outside in my shirt sleeves this afternoon. Then it started to get warmer! By about 6:00 PM it was positively balmy. And very windy. Then the rains came. Rain and wind rattled the windows and Wilbur jumped into my lap for security. I actually sat and watched TV for an hour with Wilbur on my lap.

Bonnie sent along these cat pics for your viewing pleasure. Please adopt these cats. They lower your blood pressure, improve your mood, and reduce your number of doctor visits. No kidding. Check out Bonnie's web site and the MRFRS web site for more fabulous cats in need of homes.
