Dinner at Kevin's. The kids hid York peppermint patties for the adults to find. There was to be a prize for the one who found the specially marked pattie. Guess who found it? AJ of course. I asked what the prize was and they told me an umbrella. Nancy exclaimed "That's great! Janet needs an umbrella." (Mine broke in the high winds. Guess it got turned inside out one too many times and the ribs experienced metal fatigue.) Turns out they meant a paper parasol like you get in exotic drinks at Chinese restaurants. It's cute though. I put it on my desk stuck in the frame of a drawing Lizzy did for me eons ago (a cat sleeping). ![]() The kids decorated with pressed plant material. Some of them are worthy herbarium specimens. In fact I've seen herbarium specimens that didn't look this good. On the other hand I've seen 200 year old specimens that did look this good. ![]() It's still raining. Nobody asked BiB what the weather was in Kosovo when he called. We passed the portable phone around the table one by one so everybody could say Happy Easter and discuss the Red Sox pitching rotation. A subject eminently worthy of discussion. The food was good. The children were well behaved. The adults were well behaved. A good time was had by all. |
